Just wanted to do a chit chat update with you all about what’s been happening. I haven’t quit music, I am just catching up on living life.
I wrote a blog post detailing a bit more of what I have been going through since moving to East Africa and you can read that here: http://natalie-brown.com/food-is-more-important-than-music/

It’s pretty awesome when someone you admired growing up also admires your work! I was freaking excited yesterday when I read a post on my YouTube channel for the video “You Gotta Believe” from user MulitFreebutterfly saying that she bought “You Gotta Believe” after hearing it in a video put together by actress and comedienne Kim Coles.
Being the curious kitty I am, I wanted to see what was going on so I searched for the video on YouTube and found this beautiful entry by Kim regarding her journey to resorting her natural hair. Watch the video below:
There is also a second video with the song in it. Click here.
I was SO excited to hear my song used by her and for such a beautiful video chronicling her natural hair journey. It turns out the video has also been featured in Essence Magazine online. I tweeted Kim and thanked her for using my song and she tweeted me back today saying this:
I find it super cool when someone I admire takes the time to reply back and the fact that she was touched by the song and used it in such a personal video makes me feel awesome. Thanks for making my day Kim Coles!
Hope you are doing awesome. Just wanted to share some info about a video I am featured in which will be being broadcast by projection June 17-19 all over the downtown core of Toronto. The video focuses on Social Influence and is a part of a campaign for Social Scratch.
