The lights went out in Nairobi!
But we survived.
Though the power outages or rolling blackouts are not as bad as I thought they would be in East Africa, they do happen sometimes. Follow along with us for a day in the life when the power goes out here in East Africa. Jem really wanted to eat cookies for dinner and I wanted a hamburger… watch what happens! HAHA

So this was day 4 in Nairobi…
And there’s Monkeys!
We were still hella jet lagged! I wanted to show you some of the footage of our back yard monkeys. I’ll dig up more for another vlog. I would legit do yoga and they would come watch lined up on the concrete wall. Nothing like doing bridge pose in front of monkeys. They just sat there saying ‘stupid human has no tricks!!!” 😀 Enjoy!
Courtesy Beach BBQ Episode:
I washed my hands in the toilet!?
We went to a place called Courtesy beach for a BBQ. They called it a resort… but it really wasn’t a resort! I got to taste the local version of chips (fries) and I used a long drop for the first time. For those of you who don’t know, a long drop is a pit latrine where you have to squat to do your business. Fun times. Jem thought I washed my hands IN the long drop (toilet) water. 😀 😀
