A Special Edition Release of "A Cool Christmas"

Natalie Brown | A Cool Christmas

Album No Longer Available For Sale

Hey Everyone!

For the past few years, people have been asking about my 2003 Christmas release "A Cool Christmas" and if we would ever make more copies of it. We have worked on a re-mix/re-mastered EP edition of 7 songs from the original album for special release. Get your copy for $5.99 at my site only until Jan 5th. This is a digital only release so that you can get it immediately. No physical CDs are available but you can burn the songs to CD to get them into that format.

I hope you have a super holiday season!

Muah,
Nat

PS if you could help spread the word and SHARE and TWEET this post every place possible, that would rock!

Album update & sneezing!

Hi Loves!

It's Thanksgiving week in the US and I wanna wish all my US Family and Friends a happy T-day and kickoff to the Holiday Season.

It's cold time, and you know what that means! AHHH-CHOOOOO! I always say "Bless You" when someone sneezes and the other week I was asking Soulmate, why the heck do we say that only when we sneeze, and for that matter, why do we even say that phrase? So I turned to my trusty friend Google and found some intersting history on why we say that.

Here's a few bits of info I found:

Wikipedia

Snopes

Word Origins

Do you say "Bless You" when someone sneezes, and if you do, did you know the history behind why it is said?

See you next time! 🙂

Muah,

Background vocals challenge and Who pays?

Hi Loves!

How are you? It's been a few weeks since I posted a vlog due to a very busy schedule. I hope that all is well and would love for you to comment on the blog belowand let me know how you are doing.

So how do you handle being asked out to an event or asking others to go out (in a non-dating situation)? Do you feel that if you ask someone to do something, that you should pay? Or if you are invited out, do you expect the person who invited you to pay? Does whether or not you have the money to cover activities/food factor into your decision to go out?

Let me know what you feel about that sort of situation.

See you next time! 🙂

Muah,

P.S. The flower on my jacket is a Poppy, and up here in Canada we wear it in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day, which is celebrated on November 11th every year. Read more about Remembrance Day here. Read this beautiful poem that most Canadian kids are encouraged to memorize in Primary School:

IN FLANDERS FIELDS

The World’s Most Famous WAR MEMORIAL POEM

By Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place: and in the sky

The larks still bravely singing fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead: Short days ago,

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved: and now we lie

In Flanders fields!

Take up our quarrel with the foe

To you, from failing hands, we throw

The torch: be yours to hold it high

If ye break faith with us who die,

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields

I can still recite most of it and it makes me cry every time I do!
